Plans for the opening of the Green Centre in West Kilbride renamed as 'Garratt Gardens' are going ahead.

The official opening to the public will also be a memorial service for the late Charlie Garratt, well-known local vet and environmentalist. His family are helping organise it and Garratt Gardens will be opened by Charlie's wife Janice.

It will be on September 7th, which is a Sunday, at 2pm for 2.30pm. Members of the public are welcome. There will be a short service from the local minister and a piper will play. Afterwards there will be a buffet and drinks.

Naming the Green Centre 'Garratt Gardens' will provide a fantastic legacy and it will benefit the village.
