West Kilbride Horticultural Society

The WKHS meets primarily to put on our three events each year: the Spring and Summer Shows and our very popular Plant Sale. However, in 2009, many of you will also have been able to poke around in 18 of West Kilbride and Seamill's lovely gardens, through our highly succesful wekend opening for Scotland's Gardens Scheme. We raised over £1800 for charity and over 350 people came through the village.

WKHS is intending to build on that success with a couple of Winter events (when there's not much time for gardening!) AND we intend to do the Open Gardens again. If you were persuaded by visiting ours this summer and would like to open your garden - big or small - in 2010, do let us know. We are also keen to hear from new members and/or people who would like to help out at the Open gardens Weekend.

Come along to our Spring Show on 20th March 2010 in the Village Hall from 2pm. There'll be a tea room open until 4.15, and prizes will be presented at 4.30. You can get a schedule from the D&B Gallery. Entries for the show can be staged between 6.30 and 8pm on Friday 19th or from 8.45-9.45 am on Saturday 20th.

Hiya,  Where can I get some information on classes in the summer show? Both myself and my daughter entered some classes in the spring show and enjoyed it so much we would Love to do it again (with plants this time!!)
